About

I’m Dr. Zeest Khan, an anesthesiologist, long COVID patient, and the creator of Long Covid, MD. As a physician I care for patients in their most critical moments, from open-heart surgery and life-threatening emergencies, to childbirth and cancer treatment. I lived in moments where precision and calm could mean the difference between life and death. When long COVID turned my world upside down, I leaned on the same mindset I used in the operating room: assess resources, think critically, and act with purpose, even in uncertainty.
That approach helped guide my own recovery, and now I use it to support others. While we wait for definitive cures, people living with long COVID deserve real tools and treatments now—options that reduce suffering, improve function, and restore a sense of agency.
Through my podcast and writing, I break down complex science and offer practical, evidence-informed strategies. My goal is to empower listeners and readers with the clarity they need to make confident treatment decisions, and to advocate fiercely for the care they deserve.

“At my core, I’m driven by purpose and grounded in ethics. I care deeply about how medicine is practiced, and how it feels to live inside a body that isn’t easily explained. Whether I’m interviewing experts, speaking to clinicians, or guiding individuals through the fog of long COVID, my goal is always the same: to make science more human, and healing more possible.”
“I bring a unique perspective as both a physician and a patient. I know what it means to navigate clinical uncertainty from both sides of the healthcare system.”
